The alternative to orthodontics without extractions or facial surgery

John Mew – avoid extractions

Not all parents know that nearly all Orthodontic treatment results in the loss of four permanent teeth and about half the cases lose eight or more permanent teeth. This is because Orthodontic treatment is usually retractive, (pulls the teeth back).

Orthotropics appears to be the only treatment that encourages forward growth of the face. This provides room for thirty-two teeth and research has shown improves facial appearance substantially. It is rare that permanent teeth are extracted through Orthotropic treatment.  Very crowded teeth can be corrected without extractions!

See examples below:

(As explained elsewhere on this website, Orthotropics is a longer process because it guides the growth of the jaws in the way nature intended and this also means it costs more).
